How do I measure my window to buy the right pivoting window sill from frischluft ?

When measuring, things can quickly go wrong, so we want to go into detail here on how to measure your window to select the right frischluft in the shop. In particular, we will address various special cases that occasionally arise and clearly show you where a frischluft fits and where it does not.

1. Choose the right opening direction

Select the correct image in the shop under point 1 to determine where your window handle is located; this is very important to receive the right frischluft .

2. Choose the right board length

To ensure that the window can still open fully, the frischluft is designed not to run the entire width of the window but is intentionally a bit shorter.To find out how long the frischluft board should be now, open the window completely by 90 degrees and then measure from the wall to the end of the window, as shown in the picture. Now select the next smaller size in the shop. So if you measured 74cm, then choose the 70cm board in the shop.

3. Select the right frame width

The frame width should be measured very accurately, as a few millimeters can make a big difference. Always measure the smaller dimension at the front, as shown in the picture; this also applies to more rounded frames. An incline or rounding is generally not a problem, as the frischluft does not hold against the window through friction, but is firmly connected by the shape.

3. The following window frames do not work with the frischluft :

• Triple-glazed windows are often problematic, but you can check if it might work for you like it does for some of our customers. These windows often have too little support area in front of the pane; this support area must be at least 17mm deep. Additionally, the frame is often too thick; it can be a maximum of 20mm thick with a slightly compressed seal.
• Additionally, attachments on the window, such as pleated shades, can interfere with the frischluft. For example, clip pleated shades do not work, and even drilled pleated shades can collide with the support surface of the frischluft.
